2018 Press Release: Coming Soon! Patient360 Announced as a QCDR by CMS

*** FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE***

In partnership with the Maine Osteopathic Association (MOA), Patient360, LLC (P360) has been selected by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as a Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR). This marks the second year of QCDR status for P360, and the tenth year for P360 as a CMS vetted Qualified Registry (QR). QCDRs are one of the conduits through which providers are evaluated under MACRA’s Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). Under MIPS, the Quality Payment Program (QPP) financially motivates providers to participate by allowing providers to share in a bonus (e.g., in 2016 as much as 30%) for top performance or struggle with payment withholds set to reach 9% by 2022.

As a QCDR, P360 successfully created seven (7) new measures to benefit their targeted client-base in osteopathy, physiatry, physical medicine & rehabilitation (PM&R), pain, orthopedics, anesthesia, chiropractic, occupational/physical therapy, and podiatry.

Despite the more than 270 existing MIPS measures, the above specialties struggled to find measures well-suited to optimize their patients’ outcomes and providers’ clinical performance. By focusing on the above specialties with more relevant measure criteria, optimal measure results directly correlate to improved patient outcomes all while saving the system money.

QCDRs like MOA/P360 provide real time and regular reporting around quality and performance. This more frequent reporting allows participating providers/groups the ability to regularly and frequently modify regimens and/or modalities of care to elevate patient outcomes (and treatment efficacy).

P360 Founder and CEO, Doug Jorgensen, had this to say about the renewal of the P360 QCDR status: “We are thrilled to again see CMS recognize metrics that impact true quality of care for our target provider audience. While reimbursement optimization is important, patients in pain and their caregivers have had limited opportunity to empirically demonstrate how their work optimized patient outcomes. Further, by comparatively analyzing individual performance against industry leaders, patient care is enhanced and costs diminished. Especially exciting is the focus on risk mitigation and proper care in pain practices, which is much needed amidst the current opioid addiction crisis.”

The MOA is one of the most robust and active osteopathic associations in the country. For more information, please visit Maine Osteopathic Association . P360 is one of the original Patient Quality Reporting System (PQRS) registries and a company focused on outcomes optimization, was founded in 2007 and has successfully reported for 99.99% of clients since inception. P360’s patent pending technology provides customized reporting service and has evolved to directly integrate with nation-leading electronic medical record and practice management systems.
